Multiply Your Sales with Killer
Tactics

Send them a "thank you" email and include an
advertisement for other products you sell. Also ask your
new customer to subscribe to your newsletter (ezine) and
then you'll be able build a lifetime customer. If they're
not willing to subscribe to your ezine, keep their email
and follow up with them every couple of weeks and continue
to ask them to subscribe to your ezine.

Offer an upsell to your customer. When they're at your
order page, tell them about a few extra related products
you have for sale. They could just add it to their original
order. This is actually the best time to sell to customers
because they're already in the buying mode. Just make sure
the upsell product compliments or is similar to the product
they just bought.

Encourage your new customer to refer other customers to
your web site. Offer them a full rebate of their purchase
price or some other incentive product. This could turn one
sale into three sales. Or by giving your new found customer
the option of joining an affiliate program so they can make
commissions selling your product. This will multiply your
future sales many times over.

Sell the reprint or resale rights to your products.
As previously mentioned, you could include this option in the
upsell, or in your original sales page or lastly, with the
product for other products you sell. You could make sales
for the resale rights and sales on the back end product
also.

Cross promote your product on someone else's product
sales page in a package deal. Also known as a joint
venture, you can offer other business owners a 50/50 cut,
more or less, of the profit to sell your product in either
their ezine or on their site. As a matter of fact, you
could work out a deal to mutually sell each other's
products and equalize the profits at a set time interval.

Finally, let us not forget that these types of techniques
can also be used with local businesses offline. Include an
ad or flyer for other products you sell and have other
businesses selling for you.

Discount the price with a coupon for other related
products you sell in the package when you ship out or
personally deliver your product. This will attract them to
buy more products from you. Now that you have their
shipping address, follow-up mailings are an option not to
be taken lightly. I personally suggest sending your
customers a newsletter by snail mail with a freebie once in
a while too if you do plan to use this method.

Send your customers a catalog of add-on products for the
original product they purchased. This could be upgrades,
special services, attachments, etc. If they enjoy your
product they will buy the extra add-ons.

Sell gift certificates for your products. You'll make
sales from the purchase of the gift certificate, when the
recipient cashes it in. They could also buy other items
from your web site. Sending your customers free products
with their productpackage. The freebies should have your ad
printed on them. It could be bumper stickers, ball caps,
t-shirts etc. This will allow other people to see your ad
and order.
